What if...  what if you made a table on one of the AS/400s?  What if that table 
was the telephone book for the systems?  each machine would have a name, and 
would have i/p addresses too?  Then you see, all the PCs would access the one 
AS/400 with a name they were after, and the name would look up the number and 
then, *BINGO, you got it.  Then all of your name services maintenance would be 
in one place.  And all of your PC scripts would be essentially the same, with a 
very simple scripting.
