Probably not very efficient, but what I do is to process one file and copy it to a holding file, records(*replace), and then cycling through each remaining file, records(*add) until done. It seems fast enough in batch and is clear in the CL as to what is happening. FMTDTA is of course pretty good too, as Buck suggests.
