Hello, Midrangers! I like the record format level ID concept so much that I want to incorporate it into some PC programming I'm working on right now. I could do a CRC32 without too much trouble, but I thought if I could mimic the actual algorithm IBM uses to calculate the level ID, I might be better off (4 bytes vs. 13). Also, since my data is imported from and exported to the 400, it would be nice to make sure the format on the pc matches exactly. Does anyone know how to calculate it?
