  • Subject: sending an error message back to a user

Hi,
I need to send an error message back to a user from a batch job.
The error would be the result of an invalid date being entered and
sent to the batch job.

(I know, I know.... The way to handle this is by checking the data
as it is entered, not after!! I am creating a program that will create a
coupon
book for payments with the due dates coming from a system that has
 been in production for years.)

So, what are my options towards sending back a message saying:
"Coupon book not created - invalid due date entered"

Thanks for your advice.
Dave
