ROBOT has a setting for controlling production of job log spooled files.
>From the main menu select System Setup Menu then General System Defaults:

Do you want ROBOT to capture job logs . . . . Y (A=Abnormal Only,
Y=All, N=You Will Control).

After the job starts, ROBOT issues a CHGJOB based on your selection. If
the choice is Y, ROBOT sets the LOG attribute to guarantee a the job log
spooled file is created. Select N to control logging with the job
description.

This setting applies to all ROBOT jobs. To override for one job, you can
do CHGJOB LOG(0 0 *NOLIST) as the first command of the job (assuming the
job user profile is authorized to command CHGJOB, and it's a command job).

Subject: Stopping Job Logs

Hi Folks !

I have an application that is running from Robot every 5 minutes. I have
setup a JOBD that has Message logging as follows:

Level 0
Severity 0
Text *NOLIST
Log CL program commands *NO

and the JOB LOG (that I DON'T want produced !!! <BG>) shows:

Job blah/blah/blah was started using the Submit command with the - stuff
deleted -
LOG(0 00 *NOLIST) LOGCLPGM(*NO). After this the job log shows Completion
messages and NOTHING with a severity of anything but 00

and it is STILL producing a Job Log...

WHAT am I missing ?? !!

Thanks !

Chuck
