  • Subject: CGI programming - Redirecting URL

Question for you CGI programming gurus.

I have 3 CGI programs used to display item price information.

Pgm1 - Displays data entry information such as Item numbers to display.
This page executes Pgm2 through a SUBMIT button.

Pgm2 - This page builds a small HTML with a MIME header that redirects to
Pgm3 (explained later why).

Pgm3 - Displays price information for requested items.

The reason Pgm2 uses a MIME "redirect" to Pgm3 is because I couldn't print a
page created from a POST operation. So, Pgm2 redirects to Pgm3 using all
Query String variables.

Are there any other options? the problem I'm having is the URL that I
create to redirect to in Pgm2 is getting to be longer than 1024 (yes, this
is running on V3R2 machine... yuk). and causing problems.

Any ideas folks?
