Michael,

In addition to the News/400 October 1998 mail utility there was another 
utility published in November 1998 that sends SMTP messages.  It is more 
limited, but is simpler and can be found at:

http://www.news400.com/code/newscode/

Another alternative would be the SNDDST command.  If you decide to go 
this route, I could provide you with some pointers on formatting and setup.

AS/400 program (CL if possible, Cobol second choice, RPG third)?
