default(s).

I know this one! We don't use the big feeder, but the HP will start feeding
from other trays when one gets empty _UNLESS_ you go into the menu on the
printer and tell the thing that it has different forms in each tray. The /400
doesn't care, and will print to whatever tray you tell it. We had the same
problem, because we use HPV's to print all our shop paper from the top tray --
if the paper is being printed for the first operation on the route, an extra
copy is printed on heavier stock from the bottom tray that travels with the
product throughout the production cycle for notes and quality recording. That
expensive heavy stock was flying out the door when we first went live! The
printer should hold the settings unless you're having a problem with the flash
memory.
