× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

There's no detail cycle if there's no input record.
In your detail, do something like
OPEN PRINTER
MOVE *ON     PRTOPN 1 

This'll tell you if you opened your printer file or not.  At LR time:
LR  PRTOPN  IFEQ *ON
LR                  EXCPT printline
LR                  ENDIF
