About the time the "Network Station" was announced, there was a few 
manuals on the hardware with charts that showed TCP/IP usage as well
as system loads when using ethernet... There is a load factor that
goes up with the number of users and speed of connection,etc,etc..

Certainly more paths will help, but you proably need some pretty
serious study of system impact,memory usage,etc.. Ethernet devices
are not like good old twinax(although you can do one on the other) now..

 I have done one small ethernet with network stations and it has
a fairly good hit on the system...lots of little jobs start firing off
so with multi adapters, more jobs,soooooo.... look before you leap...
if you are planning a large LAN.
