Re: Advantages of Multiple NIC cards in AS/400

Bob,

 The majority of the systems we install these days are dual homed. We base this 
on the following
advantages: 1) Additional Capacity, 2) Redundancy in case of failure (Of the 
cable, the Card, the
TCP/IP stack.  The newer cards are cheap enough that this is usually a good 
enough argument.

 As to load balancing we have done some of this manually but have not looked 
into any automatic
process.
