John has a situation where he needs to be in the code anyway, because he's converting from S/36 to AS/400. During any platform conversion, one needs to study the code to make sure it can convert properly. Since most midrange code hasn't got very good documentation, this "study time" might be the only real chance to get a good handle on what the application does - and so present a pretty good time to re-design it to make it more robust, modular, etc., etc., etc. Buck Calabro CommSoft, Albany, NY mailto:mcalabro@commsoft.net +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
