ILE and RPG are actually two different things.RPG IV is the language that can
target the ILE.
ILE is the environment that programs can be targeted to and run in.
ILE stands for Integrated Language Environment and supports multiple activation
groups which can provide isolation and "firewalling" of programs from each
other.  The original or OPM (Original Program Model) is sort of a single
activation group based on the job.
This is not OO.
C++ is OO, ILE or no.  (Read that one out loud for a laugh.)

The system is object based.  Certain languages are object oriented, most notably
