Well, I did a search for DLY on the V4R2 softcopy CD. 9 hits and top of the list was the DLYJOB command. I also tried V3R2. That's the one where IBM split the CL manual into 4 online volumes thus making it harder, but not impossible, to find anything. If you simply search volume one you won't find a hit for DLYJOB. You need to look in the volume titled 'DATA through RPLxxx Commands'. A search in that manual for DLY finds DLYJOB. I didn't try other versions. Not withstanding the above, assuming IBM did stuff up the index search, you have an AS/400 available so type DLY on an AS/400 command line and press F4. What does the list show? Or Just press F4 on an empty command line and follow the menus. You will find the command with minimal effort. My issue is not so much with the inane questions but rather the 40 million responses. There is definitely something strange happening with the order of posts -- but that's what you get with TCP. Oh for a session-to-session store and forward protocol -- Hmm, I wonder what that might be called?
