Option 25 in PDM will do this for you. There is a parameter on the
first screen once you press enter that allows you to run in batch. If
you want to scan multiple members, put 25 by each. If you want to scan
all members in a given source file, put 25 by the first and then press
F13 to duplicate your selection to the bottom of the list. You can use
F17 to subset the member list that appears on your screen first if it
helps.

Subject: Scanning Source

     To All:

Either I have gone brain dead (most likely) or I'm just plain
stupid
(very likely) but I cannot remember how to scan a source file for a

string in batch. What I need to do is run a batch program that
will
scan a known source file for a given string, and return the member
name to me. I cannot use any on line actions as this will be
completely in batch. I also do not have any tools available
outside
     of PDM.

     Ideas?
