as i've read thru this thread, i couldn't help but think about last night, when 
i was backing up my computer.  we got a new tape
drive, and for the life of me, i couldn't get the drag function to work.  after 
literally an hour, it finally took.

i would have given anything to have a command line to enter what i wanted to do!
