Off Topic Items

David,  perhaps a "Chat" area would be worthwhile.  Years ago when I was a
regular on the old News/400 Newslink system, there was a completely
separate area for this kind of chit-chat, political ranting, etc.  The
sysop moved any off-topic conversations there to keep the main board
reasonably clean.

I confess that on occasion I've contributed to these threads, but they are
becoming so prevalent I'm having to consider whether I can afford to
continue with the list - if I wasn't in digest mode I'd have had to drop it
by now.

Come on folks - a joke response to a posting is one thing, on-going rants,
discussions about the merits of rent vs buy, retirement savings, etc. are
another.

Just my 2 cents worth.
