I was hoping to do the same thing but have taken a different tact but ran into a snag (newbie snag, I think). I was hoping to skip the whole FTP route and use good ol' "drag and drop" of the file from my PC to a folder on the 400. Here's the snag. I was hoping to get to a folder (in QDLS) via Network Neighborhood (in W95). My 400 in on the list here but if I try to see what's "in it", it just searches and never shows me anything. I suspect something with Authority but don't know where to go next. Note: I'm not running Client/Access so I don't have their Operations Navigator but I can get to a PC that does if it is easier. How would I get proper Authority if I go this way (O.N.)? > -----Original Message----- > From: Carl Galgano [SMTP:cgalgano@ediconsulting.com] > Sent: Wednesday, November 25, 1998 3:44 PM > To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > Subject: Re: Transfer a PC file to AS/400 > > James: > You could use FTP if you have IP configured and a LAN connection.
