If the AS400 is passing the comma through to the modem (someone else might
know if V2R3 has a problem doing this), then the modem switch settings
should be investigated. Some modems have a variable that controls how long
to pause when it receives a comma. If so, yours might be set to zero.. I
guess it is possible also for some modems to have a setting that either
enables or disables the pause. I would look at the modem switch settings.
