  • Subject: Comma in phone number

I have a friend who is trying to use STRSVCSPT (I'm not sure if this is correct
command or not) to establish a SNADS session with a remote AS/400. The
AS/400 that he is on is an old D10 running V2R3 (this is not a mis-type either).
He has a comma between the phone number and the extension, but the dialer
does not pause. I suggested that he add a couple of more commas to lengthen
the wait, but that didn't help. He can hear the modem dial and is blasts right
through the phone number and extension without waiting. The have not used
this feature to communicate between AS/400s before (only permanents
between LANs or dedicated lines). Does anyone have any answers, suggestions,
solutions, additional questions, etc? I appreciate any help you can give me and
Craig would be very grateful as well.
