× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

I just had to do pack an alphanumeric field with an RPG program in my last
project.  All i did was use a data structure.  I placed both the alphanumeric
and the packed fields in the same data area in the data structure.  This way
they share the same memory buffer.
