Dana,

Find a file called cwbtfr.ini in your Client Access folder.  Edit this file
and make the following change:

[Client Access Data Transfer]
ForceTranslation=1;

Save the file to C:\WINDOWS so that the next update to Client Access does 
not change it back again.  The newest versions of CA have a Conversions
tab in the Properties selection under the File menu.  Check the box for 
Convert CCSID 65535 and this will take care of the problem without having
to change the cwbtfr.ini file as described above.
