That sounds like a weak reason to steer others away from the AFP300 print
driver.

This is the rule of thumb that I have discover that works best for my shop.

AFP240 Works best with my AS/400 Fax Software.
AFP300 Works best for my HP4000's attached by TCPIP.

It's not hard to create both overlays (PageSeg) at the same time. I would
suggest trying both on your enviornment and you yourslef makes the
judgement what looks better.

Jim.

I've heard problems with it. I've also talked to a support person at IBM
about a
fax problem I had. I mentioned how I was creating overlays. She hurriedly
asked
me if I used the 240 driver. I said yes, and she sounded quite relieved.

Rob,

Why shouldn't we use AFP 300?

Install the IBM AFP 240 printer driver. (240, not 300!)
