Endre,

IBM has a program called Partners In Education that will provide you with either
an old CISC system for free or a New RISC System (including the 170) on a 1%
lease.  That's hardware only.  You may also be eligble for free OS and utility
software, and pre-written course material that you can teach from.

I'm currently working with a Bates Technical College in Washington State to get
them signed up for this program, even though I also sell and teach AS/400
technical training to private companies.   It's just good for the industry.

P.S.  You can nicely configure a 170, _with_ software for around $30,000. A 1%
lease makes that cost about $300 a month.
