Hi Richard, I hope you do not mind my writing you, but I have a further question on my P03 that I have been unable to find the answer to. Could you help me? Here's my problem: I lost one of the two 1GB drives in my P03 and wanted to replace them with just one 2GB drive. I ordered an IBM drive from a vendor (model DFHS S2W), a 68 pin ultrawide scsi. I am assuming it should be possible to use this drive alone as I would need to if I had an internal tape installed. However, I can not get the drive to be recognized by the system. It keeps coming up failed. So I tried adding back the old 1GB drive that does still work along with the new 2GB and while both spin up still, I get to DST and find the drive has failed. If I proceed to install the os at this point I get a console failure SRC B0750000. It is just not seeing it. BTW they are addressed at scsi address 5 and 6. So my questions are: 1.) Can I have just the 2GB drive installed? 2.) Does this drive need formatting since I got it from a vendor and if so, what type? 3.) Will it not take two drives of different sizes? Thanks so much and I apologize if I am intruding. Jessica (: rose400@pacbell.net wrote: > No, the P03 will only support 1.03GB and 1.96GB DASD.
