Hi, Iam new to AS/400 and am bit naïve when it comes to programming on it. I have a doubt regarding Pull down menus as I don't know how to associate a field name with a sub menu and how to use it in a RPG 400 program. Let me describe the sequence of steps that I followed to create a Pull down menu (Of course from AS/400 Help books, but which did not specify how to name a sub menu in a pull down menu) Step 1: I created a Pull Down Menu of type PULDWN Step2: Created a Menu Bar of type MNUBAR Step3:In MNUBAR record using option 12, inside the design Image screen, 1 row 2 column, I gave an * , and selected Menu Bar keywords Step4:here I specified MNUBARCHC : Y Choice Number to update : Choice Number 1 Pull down record PULL DOWN RECORD NAME THAT I CREATED Step5: Then in PULDWN record, using option 12, inside the design image screen, 3 row, 3 column I typed +99 (A numeric field as specified by the manual, though I don't know why) Step6: Preseed F4 and typed option 1 Step7: In Keying Options I gave Y Step 8:In select Choice keywords I typed Y against Selection field choice and Define Choice Keywords Step9: In Define choice keywords I specified only the text for menu pull down No where did I specify the field names. Can anyone please help me regarding how to use this and how to specify the pull down fields in the program. Thanks in advance Prakash ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
