I don't know about the new machines, but I had two customers that inexplicably
needed their MULIC during an OS/400 upgrade (both "D" models with ye olde "MB
Quality Award Stripe and fairly new at the time).  No new hardware involved.
That's where I remembered that the SE used to put the MULIC's inside the front
cover from...
