Help MPUT Subcommand - Help
MPUT (Send Multiple Files)
To send one or more local files (members, save files, or documents
for example) and create a corresponding number of remote files with
the same name, use the MPUT subcommand in the following format:
MPut { localfile [localfile...]}
MPut You can abbreviate subcommands to the most unique series
of characters.
localfile Specify one or more AS/400 file members, documents, or
other local AS/400 files to be transferred to the remote
system. The name given to the file on the remote system
is generated automatically by the client. See the topic
"Default names" for additional information.
You can use an asterisk to send all the members in a file or all the
documents in a folder. For example, MPUT MYLIB/MYFILE.* transfers
all the members of file MYFILE in library MYLIB.
Note: If the remote file already exists, the contents are
replaced by the contents of localfile unless SUNIQUE is on.
The following is an example of the NAMEFMT 0 using the MPUT
subcommand:
MPUT MYLIB/FILE1.MBR1 MYLIB/FILE1.MBR2
This sends members MBR1 and MBR2 of file FILE1 in library MYLIB to
the remote system.
The following is an example of the NAMEFMT 1 using the MPUT
subcommand:
MPUT /QDLS/QIWSOS2/PCSMENU.EXE /QDLS/QIWSOS2/PCSMENU2.EXE
This sends document PCSMENU.EXE and document PCSMENU2.EXE from
folder QIWSOS2 to the remote system.
