RE: Using Hayes 14400 Optra for ECS

V.25bis standard allows several flavours of command encoding.
Some modems require exact specification which one to use.
If memory does not betray me, AS/400 sends V.25bis commands in
HDLC-formatted frames with ASCII encoding.
