I am not interested in the BPCS-L mailing list as its not in my day-to-day routines. How much can I say without getting my butt in a sling? I get up to Rochester for a week at a time on a somewhat annual basis. They have a benchmark center next to where I always went to. In this benchmark center you can load your software and have it tested out for different loads, etc. There are several plaques on the wall for various companies from around the world who have benchmarked their software and under what conditions. I saw SSA's plaque. I've heard that people in IBM's beta programs are not even allowed to mention to others that they are in IBM's beta program. Something about signed confidentiality agreements. I once worked for a _small_ company that had a small division (six employees) that sold system management tools (a la "Robot") that traveled to Rochester for pre-release testing of their products when a new OS was soon to be announced. Yet, SSA (the number 5 ERP vendor the last time I checked) can't do the same? AFAIK, SSA _STILL_ doesn't "officially" support RISC or security level 40. What's up with that? > > > CLEWIS@IQUEST.NET on 10/14/98 11:07:01 AM > Please respond to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com@Internet > To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com@Internet > cc: > > Subject: Re: AS/400 V4R2-R1 "downgrade" > > Did you folks just go ahead and try this or did SSA give you their blessing ? > > > My previous employer has been told different stories.
