Hi Denis,

Each field on a screen has an attribute before it to define its properties
it and one after it to indicate the end of the field.
This is the only thing the after attribute does, so it can be overwritten
with the before attribute of the next field.
This makes it possible to put only one position between fields.
The before attribute will not have the same characteristics as the after
attr., but it gives the next field its properties, and is by itself
'protected' for typing in anything.
It does not affect the properties of the field before it.

So I don't understand what might be your problem.

Since you state the subfile fields don't react as they should, what happens
on your screen ?
can you describe this more specificly.

must be at least one space between 2 fields on a display file and than that
space holds the display attribute of the field (reverse image, underline
...).

the fields if we want the display attribute to work correctly.
