Also if you want to let users do commands such as WRKSPLF, DSPMSG etc., you must change the command to allow LMT users. Do a wrkcmd and then 2 to change it and find the limited users field. When this paramtere is set to *YES, the user is prevented from entering commands at an AS/400 command line. Note that this restriction is not absolute. The user would still be able to enter commands using the Client Access remote command and the FTP rcmd facility (prior to V4R1). To block command entry from these sources you would have to use the corresponding exit points . jte -- John Earl PowerTech Toolworks johnearl@toolnet.com www.toolnet.com 253-858-7388 206-575-0711 PowerLock Network Security for the AS/400 -- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
