The remote location name does not have to be defined before the DDM file is created, but it must be defined before the DDM file is opened. The possible values are: remote-location-name Specifies the name of the remote location associated with the target system. More information on remote locations is in the APPC Programming book, SC41-5443. Judging by the comment about APPC programming I would suspect that TCP/IP and DDM are exclusive.
