Sounds like good news to me.  In a well architected database, I have difficulty 
finding a use for members.  In most (if not all) cases you could use a key 
field to get the deliniation that members
provide.

Source files are a different issue, I'm not sure how IBM would ever get away 
from using source members.  It's too deeply embedded in the culture.
