The following definition works for me: PARM KWD(DATE) TYPE(*DATE) DFT(*CURRENT) + SPCVAL((*CURRENT 0000001)) PROMPT('Date + to test') where the CPP defines DATE as a character 7 field interpreted as CYYMMDD. If *CURRENT is used, the CPP receives '0000001'; if October 13 1955, the CPP receives '0551013' and if October 13 2055 '1551013'. Bruce Vining > >I have a command with a parameter type *DATE.
