See if your HP3000 has the EXEC subcommand on it's ftp server.
It's the equivilant of the AS/400 RCMD subcommand. It should be a
subset of the SITE command and the format to send it to the server
should be similar to QUOTE SITE EXEC command arguments. To get help
     type QUOTE HELP SITE EXEC

I am trying to start a process on a remote HP3000 through an FTP script.
When I am done putting my files onto the HP, I want to call a process on the
HP3000 to do something with those files. I know how to do it from one
AS/400 to another using QUOTE RCMD....., but I do not know what the
equivalent is to the "RCMD" on the remote HP's FTP server. I typed in
"quote help" interactively and obtained a list of the commands that the
server will except, but I do not see anything similar. Does anyone know if
it is possible to do and how?
