Mark, Perhaps a minor point, but CAxx actually indicates that no input data is transmitted from the device. WSDM, which in this case is what/who is working with the device, does return data to the application program. That is, the RPG program is expecting a buffer to be returned to it following the READ/EXFMT operation. WSDM will not return what is current on the device in the case of CAxx; but rather what the last view of the data was.
