If this method is used, you should put something in to limit the 
number of trys.

If the user has left his/her sesion signed on and that is why 
the lock exists, then it probably wont be released untill the 
morning.

The only way I know of for JobA to force JobB to release a lock 
on an object is if JobA issues an ENDJOB on JobB.  Of course, 
this might cause other problems.  But, the lock will be 
released.

Why not use a WAIT(60) on the ALCOBJ, monitor for the message 
and go right
back into the ALCOBJ.  This way you reduce the possiblity that 
someone else
might grab the file while you are in the delay.
