Hi guys, Since a couple of weeks, w're using a software to mirror our production environment to another AS/400. Basicly, this product reads the journals ( QAUDJRN and "normal" file journalling ), sends these entries to the mirror machine, where these are applied. 1) Audit journal : ================== When I create a *dtaara, following entries are written in QAUDJRN : ( My profile "ISD_SC" has Group profile = "GRPPGMR" & Owner = *GRPPRF) Sequence Code Type 4094578 T CA Grant *Use Authority to *Public 4094579 T OW Chgobjown to GRPPGMR 4094580 T CA Rvkobjaut *all for ISD_SC 4094581 T CO Crtdtaara Because T-CO is the last entry, the first 3 entries cannot be applied on the other system because at that time the *Dtaara doesn't exist there ! 2) "Normal" file journalling : ============================== It somethimes happens that programs writes records that causes a duplicate key in another accesspath. This situation is handled within the program. The strange thing is that OS/400 writes an R-PT entry in the journal for this record. The mirror wants to write this record which obviously fails. This is the first time I've looked at the entries in such detail. Has this always been the case or is this an error whithin the OS ? BTW, w're on a 620 and 600 with V4R1M0 and cumpack 98097 ( 98174 will be installed shortly ) TIA Chris =========================================================================== Chris Spirinckx # E-mail live : Chris.Spirinckx@village.uunet.be F. van Eedenplein 4a/5 # ICQ number : 14033396 B2050 Antwerpen # E-mail work : chris_spirinckx@pee.pioneer.be BELGIUM (Europe) # Tel/Fax : + 32 3 219.09.12 +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
