We are considering altering some of our larger files to re-use deleted
records.

I am aware of the implications regarding file operations, such as LIFO
effects, and end of file wait situations being altered, but want to know if
there are any side-effects on the journals.

Do all journal operations operate "as advertised" ?

Can I safely apply selected journal entries if I re-use deleted records ?

Any thoughts or comments on the effect on the journals of re-usging deleted
records would be appreciated.
