>Anyone using Peekplus? Any thoughts regarding privacy or lack of same? > >-- >----------------------------------------------------------- >boothm@ibm.net >Booth Martin We use it. There is a Peek authority command that lets you restrict access to certain users' (ie Payroll) screens. It's -very- nice to be able to watch a user fumbling their way through a screen and being able to say, "Now see where it says 'F17-Display Error Messages?' OK-- press F17." You can not see a key-by-key copy of the user's screen, but you can update your copy of their screen by pressing F5, or by setting the auto-refresh. You get an updated copy whenever the user presses Enter. We've used it for some remote training. Users sign on, the trainer is in a conference room with a bunch of terminals. Everyone's on a conference call. As the users step through the training, the instructor can watch what they're doing and offer guidance. It's a wonderful tool for eliminating those plane ticket bills. --Paul E Musselman PaulMmn@ix.netcom.com +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
