Doug,

We have a few BPCS shops running our software OS Director, and one of them
told
us that after installing and running our software their response time dropped
unbelievably. SOme transactions that were taking 20 seconds were now being
done in
less than 5, and it seems that most other transactions were completing in less
than
20% of the time. They had SAA (BPCS) come in and told them about our software,
and
of course they couldnt believe it. Well we dont change the Sharing of ODP on
LF,
and BPCS thought we were advising the customer to do that. BPCS insists that
the
sharing of ODP should be set to *NO, otherwise errors can occur. We share
access
paths, we dont screw with ODPs becuase depending on the logic of the programs,
it
can cause errors (Especially doing Read Next). If you would like to talk with
this
customer, I can probably arrange it.

                      Pete
