John, I don't believe that you can do that exactly, but what you might try is to concatenate this to a string of, let's say, 30 spaces...then scan from the left for 30 spaces. It will find the end of your data and will ignore any embedded blanks (assuming they're less than 30 characters). Hope this helps.
