AS long as you don't drop it or play pingpong in the back of the truck
while your moving it, it should be fine. REMEMBER to LABEL the cables
and were they go. If this is a multiframe unit then have a IBM or other
maint. company do all the disconnects and any packing they deem fit.
Then let them unpack it. If anything doesn't make the trip then they
can't blame YOU.

OH! BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP in case the disks aren't happy about moving

Subject: Moving An AS/400

We're going to be relocating to a new facility quite soon.  Since the
distance is quite close, we will be doing most of the moving ourselves
(especially computers).  Any advice for moving an AS/400?  It will
likely go over in the back of someone's van.  Should it be packaged up
for such a short trip ( 2 miles).  Will it be safe if I just go along
with it (and sit on it)?
