Good News Everybody!

The new search engine is LIVE!

Please report any problems to david (at) midrange.com.

CHKOBJ only checks whether the object (not the member) exists or not. CHKOBJ is
a generic command which can be used to any type of object (*FILE, *PGM ..etc).
But for *FILE object, you can have one or more members. If you want to retreive
the member names, you can do it in a CL using RTVMBRD command. Specify *FIRST
and do RTVMBRD(*NEXT) in a loop. This way, you can get all the member names.

Another approach is to do a DSPFD command with TYPE(*MBRLIST)
OUTPUT(*OUTFILE). Direct this to an outfile. Then read the outfile.
