When U ftp U should create a save file on the remote system first and then
put
your save file into the remote save file. If not it will create a physical
file  by default
and then puts the current file into that physical file.

Note : Use replace option with put command.

Hello,

When I FTP a *SAVF between AS/400's, when the file gets to the remote
system, it is converted into a regular PF. Is this a FTP restriction of
am I doing soemthing wrong?

I am using the following commands

type binary
put lib/filename remotelib/filename
