OUT OF CONTEXT: AS/400 R/3 IMPLEMENTATIONS SHORTER THAN UNIX, NT
"The implementation time on average for SAP R/3 implementation on
the AS/400 is much shorter than on Unix or NT. Another interesting
fact is that 'newer' AS/400 implementations show significantly
lower implementation times (in average 4.7 months) than the
earlier SAP R/3 implementations on the AS/400. Obviously this is a
sign of the maturation of the AS/400 on SAP R/3 after the latest
market entry of all platform alternatives. Other good news for
users is that in this group of medium size AS/400 users the
realized project time is lower than the planned project time."
