Alan,
First, what are you running on the PC ?
Win 95, 98, NT or Linux ?
It sounds like you're going to be asking the PC to do IP routing.
I'll ask my PC/Network guys, but I think you will either NT Server
or Linux for that service.
I'd like to hear if you make it work.

Of course if you're goal is just to be able to FTP.......
You could run remote commands on the PC from the 400
that could FTP back and forth from the internet and the IFS.
