The netid on the PC should be the same network ID defined in the AS400
network attributes. (DSPNETA). This parameter only makes a difference if
connection via SNA (or Anynet I believe), if the client is doing IP, then it
makes NO difference.

Subject: Client Access....Net ID

|I have a client who insists that the "Net ID" field makes all the
difference
|on whether or not a pc running Win95 Client Access will connect to the
|AS/400 or not. I have 2 pc's running this and the only difference between
|them is that 1 has "APPN" in the netID field and one has the name of the
|system in the same field. Apparently there is no difference.
|
|My question is, who is correct.
