  • Subject: RMVPTF won't remove PTF

We loaded, ok I'll come clean, 'I' loaded and applied (delayed) some PTFs
and have discovered since then that I do not want to have these on as of
yet. There were some machine fixes (999) some OS fixes (SS1) and some TCP
fixes (TC1). All of the PTFs were applied with the delayed option and I
have not done an IPL as of yet so they were not actually applied. I have
used the RMVPTF command to successfully remove the machine and the OS fixes
which made them go back to a "Save file only" status. However when I
attempt to do the same to the TCP fixes I get an error message saying that
program QTGSRV not found. These PTFs still show a "Not applied" status
with an IPL Action of YES. When I look at the job log from when these TCP
PTFs were initially loaded I can see where the LODPTF process did rename
the pgm QTGSRV to QPZR000091 and then moved it from library QSRV to library
QTCP. Does anyone have an idea as to what might be going on with this PTF.
I thought of trying to rename program QPZR000091 back to QTGSRV, move it
back to library QSRV and then give it another try but this sound VERY
experimental.

Any expertise would be appreciated and thanks in advance.
